Steam train rides canceled until further notice

Measures are being taken worldwide to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19). Tata Steel follows the current regulations of national governments one by one. In the Netherlands, this concerns the regulations of RIVM and the current advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. That is why Tata Steel has decided to suspend company visits and thus also the steam train rides. Bookings already made have been canceled and the money transferred for this has been refunded. Reservations are not possible until further notice. When reservations are possible again depends on developments.

You’d never come here otherwise! On the site of the only integrated steel plant in the Netherlands, you can make an interesting tour with a steam train once a month in the summer. The ride will take you over an industrial site of 800 ha next to the blast furnaces, the steelworks and the rolling mills. Along the way, you’ll be given expert information on the manufacturing process and enjoy a photo stop. It’s not possible to visit the factories. Check the website for security conditions and the route to the Velserbosch station.

Reservation
Reservation is recommended. Without reservation there is a chance that the train is fully booked

Because of security regulations we have to register the name and birth-date of every passenger. Without this registration it's not allowed to enter the site and you can't access the train. Furthermore, every passenger must be in the possession of an identity card/passport.

On this registration the EU-AVG rules apply.

There is a limited possibility to buy tickets at the station Velserbosch. You can only pay here with cash - Card payments are not possible
